Troy Bourgeois, PT, DPT / Founder
Troy Bourgeois is from New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from De La Salle High School and later attended Christian Brother’s University in Memphis, TN where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences. He went on to receive his Master’s of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, followed by his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University. He attended Northwestern University in Chicago, IL for pedorthic certificate coursework. His internship for Motion Analysis was completed at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He returned to New Orleans to begin practice in 2001. He founded the Movement Science Center in 2004 as a facility for advanced evaluation and treatment of neuromuscularskeletal disorders.
Troy has treated many professional athletes including athletes from the NFL,NBA, MLB, UFC, ATP, AVP, MLS, NWSL, as well as members from our U.S. Olympic Team. Troy has been adjunct faculty for LSU medical school and physical therapy school for the departments of neurology and orthopedics. His certifications include dry needling level I, II, and III, SFMA, and holds multiple manual therapy certificates. He has been a course instructor and presenter for the American Physical Therapy Association, American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, and the Louisiana Medical Association. His publications have been included in Operative Techniques in Sports Medicine as well as Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Troy is a loving husband and a father of 3 beautiful girls. He enjoys serving the community that he has grown up in. His goal was to develop a center where the world’s latest advancements in evaluating and treating human movement disorders could be provided where his family and friends reside. As a New Orleans native, his drive and passion has been flavored by the diverse culture here. In an effort to give back to New Orleans, Troy has dedicated this facility to improving the quality of life of this community.
Eric Cedor, PT, DPT, ScD, COMT
Eric Cedor grew up in Covington, LA where he attended St. Paul's School. Eric graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio where he received his Bachelors of Humanities and Catholic Culture. He then returned to the South to complete his Masters of Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Science Center of New Orleans, his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University Medical Center in Jackson, MS, and his Doctorate of Science from Texas Tech HSC. Eric's certifications include Level I, II, and III Dry Needling, Orthopedic Manual Therapy of the Complete Spine, and Selective Functional Movement Assessment. Eric is currently adjunct faculty for both LSU and Emory's physical therapy programs. Eric loves to stay active with his family; he enjoys playing golf, guitar, and piano.
Randy Hernandez, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
Randy Hernandez graduated from Brother Martin High School and received his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from Tulane University. He then attended the University of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, Florida where his received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Manual Therapy Certification. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy and certified in Functional Dry Needling. Randy has been the clinical director of the Movement Science Center, Metairie location for over 10 years. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of TMJ (temporomandibular joint) and cervical spine dysfunction. Randy lectures at LSU physical therapy school and LSU dental school and has also appeared on WWL radio discussing the benefits of physical therapy within the New Orleans community. Randy enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and two boys.
Lauren Chappetta King, PT, DPT
Lauren Chappetta King grew up in Mandeville, La where she graduated from Fontainebleau High School in 2004. She attended Louisiana State University graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology. Lauren later received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2011. Upon graduating physical therapy school she returned to Baton Rouge, La working in skilled nursing facilities. In 2013 after marrying her college sweetheart and relocating to New Orleans, La she began working in outpatient orthopedics for a local hospital. Upon treating a variety of conditions she noticed an increase of complaints related to pelvic floor dysfunction. Through the APTA’s Section of Women’s Health she became specialized in Pelvic Health and developed a pelvic floor program. Lauren is certified in APTA’s Pelvic Health Level I and II, SFMA, Graston Level I, as well as multiple manual therapy certifications from The University of Saint Augustine. She is passionate about Women’s Health and addressing the misconception that men and women have to suffer with signs and symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction. Lauren enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her husband and young son.
Jonathan Bonfiglio, PT, DPT, OCS
Jonathan Bonfiglio is from Hammond, LA. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas and went on to graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University where he received his degree in Kineisiology and Exercise Science. In 2012, Jonathan received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans. His is a Certified Orthopedic SPecialist with certifications in functional dry needling and SFMA. Jonathan enjoys doing crossfit, playing soccer, and spending time with his wife and son.
Brian Scholl, PT, DPT
Brian Sholl is a Maryland native. He attended the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA for his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and his Masters of Physical Therapy. Brian worked in Washington, DC for 7 years before moving to New Orleans in 2008. He completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of St. Augustine in 2012 while continuing to work in an outpatient physical therapy environment. He has received his manual therapy certification from the University of St. Augustine and is certified in dry needling in Louisiana. Brian enjoys live music, watching football, cheering for the Baltimore Orioles, and spending time with his wife and four children.
Ben Roussel, PT, DPT
Ben Roussel is from Mandeville and graduated from Mandeville High School. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi. Ben attended the University of South Alabama where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and served as class president. He is currently specializing in orthopedics and is enrolled in an orthopedic residency program designed to prepare him for his board certification. He is passionate about utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques and the most current research within the field of physical therapy. Ben is also a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. He enjoys running, live music, and spending time with his family and friends.
Jeffrey Cresson, PT, DPT
Jeffrey "Jeff" Cresson grew up in Mandeville, LA and attended St. Paul's School in Covington. Jeff went on to play baseball at Southeastern University and later transferred to LSU where he received his Bachelors degree in Kiniesiology. In 2011, Jeff graduated from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. His certifications include Level I and II Dry Needling, Level II Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and is currently working on his certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy from the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine and an Orthopedic Certified Specialist from American Physical Therapy Association. Jeff enjoys treating people from a holistic standing, incorporating blood type diets into physical therapy rehabilitation programs.
Louis Haar, PT, DPT
Louis Haar, a Metairie native, graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School. He attended LSU and graduated with his Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology. Louis then went on to The University of South Alabama where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. After graduating from physical therapy school, Louis lived in Las Vegas for two years while he practiced in an outpatient setting. He is certified in Functional Dry Needling and is currently working towards becoming a board certified orthopedic specialist. He is an active member of the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association. Louis enjoys staying active, golfing, and traveling with his wife.
Seth Holloway, PT, DPT
Seth Holloway is from Haughton, LA. He attended Louisiana Tech University and graduated with his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Kinesiology. Seth then received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport. Seth is passionate about overhead athlete rehabilitation, total joint replacement, and home health physical therapy. His certifications include Functional Dry Needling. Seth enjoys hanging out with his wife and watching LSU football.
